They say mean things to provoke them into an angry or violent response, and try to get a picture them in that situation so they can print it with a phony story of how the celeb reacted like that because they were either on drugs or drunk or give them a bad rap as being a difficult celeb, when it reality they were provoked by the paps and arent difficult at all.
